So now that I'm in the market and looking for a house of my own, I'll be using this blog to keep track of how I imagine my house to be. Hopefully somewhat achievable. We'll see. But, I think these bookshelves are so cool lookin. As I'm "growing up" I've realized that I collect more and more books. Well, being in a bookclub sure does help! But I hope to someday be able to sort my books out like these and make them look beautiful.

“This life… is what you make it. No matter what you’re going to mess up sometimes, it’s a universal truth. But the good part is, you get to decide how you’re going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they’ll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they’re your true best friends. Don’t let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they’ll come & go too. & babe, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart. but you can’t give up because if you give up, You’ll never find your soul mate. You’ll never find that half who makes you whole. & that goes for everything; Just because you fail once, doesn’t mean you’re gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, & always, always, always believe in yourself. Because if you don’t, then who will, sweetie? So. Keep your head high. Keep your chin up. & most importantly, keep smiling. Because life’s a beautiful thing & there’s so much to smile about.”

If I could create my favorite house with all my favorite pieces with them all fitting together, this would be the one.

First, I'd learn how to sew. I would create this area that I would spend long mornings in with a cup of coffee.
After my fingers hurt from all the sewing, I would need a rest. This would be the dream come true. Of course I would switch from a coffee to a mimosa, or pina colada, depending on my mood of course.

This nook is the perfect area for reading a book. I would lounge here in my J.Crew pj's and headband for hours and hours. Secretly, I may add peonies. :)
My closet. Ah, yes. My friends could sit in the chairs while I give them a fashion show, or maybe even join in and dance around because there's clearly enough room for a dance party. Dance party in a closet? I'm sold.

Hungry after the dancing? Let's come on over to the table and eat our favorite homemade croissants. We'd naturally drink some spiked lemonade and talk for hours.
Slumber party. Even Mondays wouldn't be as bad waking up in a room of paradise like this one. Secretly though, I may change the black in the room to a mint green or maybe a mango for some added spice. I'm wild, I know.

Last but certainly not least, this. My big black dogs would stand in the doorway and watch me peruse through magazines in this room because they clearly wouldn't be allowed in here. On second thought, I may stay in the doorway as well...

When I finish this house of mine, you all will be invited. I promise. Which room would you spend most of your time in??

Cameron is my mom's sister's son and the closest thing I've had to a brother (until I was 17 and got a step brother).  Cameron is not only family but a best friend.  We went to college together, well for four years until I graduated instead of being wise like him and taking 5 years.  This picture is from awhile ago but its one of my favorites.  We've gone to Lake Cumberland since we were tiny so it's only appropriate that we keep going forever and ever.  Anyways...this Saturday was Cameron's graduation party.  It was a great time.  Congrats Cammie!  I love you!
Stacey, me, Kelly, Ellen, and Britney at Cameron's party.  ...we had a little bit of a photo shoot but it was good to see some of the people that I haven't seen in a long time since we live in different cities...
Kelly, on the right, is another one of my cousins.  We went to high school together and if ya wanna get technical, she's technically a "step cousin" and yes, we think it's real.  Kelly's a goof but also a champ on the tennis court.
I love this picture, even though Gary snuck in.  Stacey, yours truly, Kelly.
We topped off the weekend by going on the river on Stacey's boat.  Stacey's mom drove and she agreed to go very slow so we could stay on the tube, but tan without wearing a life jacket.  Kelly was apparently afraid because she was holding on for dear life and wearing a life jacket.  Stacey and I ain't scurred.

....rewind.... Friday night was my step moms 50th surprise birthday party!  I went there for awhile and then drove up north to go out for a little bit in Mount Adams.  It was a long night but so much fun.  Surprise surprise, it was Stacey and I.  weird, I know.

This makes me happy.

I found this great new website that I'm obsessed with every single thing. ...Would you EVER leave your bed if THIS is what you saw?! I've always dreamt of a house full of windows.
And this beautiful white and yellow bedroom. It looks so clean and comfortable. If only the yellow pretty bed could be in the bedroom above! LOVELY!

There's something about the long vertical lines in this room that I love. I love the color and straight lines and the cleanliness. The ceiling is gorgeous too, and different. Someday....

Could you even imagine?

I guess I'm really into clean bedrooms. The irony...ha! I love how simple yet beautiful this is.
I'm so happy I found this site because I'll now be obsessed with it and probably post new pictures that they have up on my site and claim it.......I kid I kid. But I do love it.

I started my birthday celebration with some of my best friends at one of my favorite places in the world.  It was originally called the Willow Lake Tavern.  It's also where I celebrated my 21st birthday.  Everyone that is anyone goes there every Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Additionally, some of my girlfriends and I have started the Tuesday night tradition at Selenas.

So here we are.  Alex, Lizzie, Cat, me, Jordan, Curt, and Michael.  The girls have all gone to school together since kindergarten and we've been best friends ever since.  Curt and Michael are the lovely gentlemen that keep Alex and Cat sane............  :)
Kyle was nice enough to drive the birthday girl around and he's always patient with drunk ole Jayme.  We went to my brother in law's softball game and then headed to the Frankfort Avenue Beer Depot.  It was a great night with some of my favorite people!!
Jordan and I have been friends for ever and ever.  When we were little, Jordan and I would pretend that we were Japanese artists that were filming our shows and our children would walk onto the set and we would yell in Japanese to them.  Guess ya had to be there....  Someday Jordan and I are going to create a fascinating, unique business.  (i.e., flying time machines, and edible paper)
On Saturday, I went to my friend Dean and Lee's river house for a crawfish boil.  I forgot to take pictures but their house is so gorgeous.  I just loooove it.

Saturday night I went to the Kenny Chesney concert.  We also saw Montgomery Gentry and Sugarland.  And boy oh boy, do I have a newfound love for Jennifer Nettles!  <3 !  This is me, Channing, and Jordan getting ready to walk into the concert!
Natalie, me, and Channing inside the concert.  It was such a great time...until it rained!!  boooo rain!  But I loooooove concerts and had a great time no matter what!
