Since I gained a healthy 100 pounds over the weekend,
I am in no mood to be photographed in any way.
Therefore, I basically have no pictures from the weekend.
My bad.

After workin all day, I went to my dads house for my
first Thanksgiving feast with four of my sisters,
cousins, my brother in law, my boyfrand, and
a million extended family members...

After spending some hours with them,
we were in dire need of alcohol so we went to the bar.
By the end of the night, my cousin looked at me and said "must. go. now."
so we left.

happy thanksgiving!
We woke up bright n early and went to our friends house for Thanksgiving breakfast
& then got re-ready and went to Churchill Downs for some afternoon racing.
I lost money. I was sad.
I got re-drunk. I was happy.
I can't believe I didn't take any pictures so I apologize, really, I do.
Major bummer.
After the track, I went home, showered, put on my faciest dress (dresses=eat more)
and got my game face on for some real eatin'...
Thanksgiving food was delightful.
I talked myself out of a nap which was a great decision since my mom bought this amazing new karaoke machine. Let me tell you, my family is full of talent....

Way past my bedtime, we decided to get a few last drinks at Selena's. UGH.

I worked. All day. FML.
Friday night, Billy and I went to see Kevin Hart at the IMPROV which was hilarious and a perfect way to spend the beginning of Friday night.

P.S. Billy's the best.
Then we met our friends at Molly Malone's for a few more drinks and finished the night with a burrito. As if we hadn't eaten enough...

This day brought quite the predicament - it was my brother in laws birthday but it was also their (as in my brother in law and sisters) 10 year reunion AND there was a Kentucky game!! After much debate, Jessie went to the reunion and Taylor went to the game.
We ran to Target to get some warm clothing for the game and Billy just haaad to do this...
Unfortunately, Kentucky lost.
But - here's a picture!!
After the tragic loss, Billy, Taylor, Chas, Frank, Tricia, Curry, and I came back to Louisville and went to Gerstle's where we met up with all the people that went to the class reunion.
But first we had to get a Crave Case from White Castle. YUM.
Here's Julie and me...just cuz I love her dearly. I promise to never let y'all down again by taking more pictures...but I guess it's better than all those golf pictures.. ;)
Billy & I had breakfast and then I met with my group for my *final* presentation tonight! I have this class and one more on Wednesday and then the semester is OVER! YESSS!!
Then we watched The Ugly Truth. It was okay.

I had a great weekend. Another great weekend to be exact. I am so blessed and this Thanksgiving is one that I am truly grateful for.

I'm thankful for my amazing family,
my awesome friends,
and my incredible boyfriend.
BUT...I'm also VERY thankful for...
COFFEE in the morning! I don't really move much before I get my coffee.
Even though it's usually "would you like a little coffee with your creamer?" but either way, I LOVE COFFEE. I NEVER drank coffee until I got a job though, and now, I can't believe I survived without it!

My iphone. I'm sure if you have one, you don't need any explanations.
If you do have one, do you have the FEATHER REPORT app?
If not, get it.
It's a life saver.
and if you have any apps to recommend, please, don't hold back!

I looooove and am VERY thankful for a brand new pair of socks!
Probably one of the best feelings in the world.

Regis and Kelly. I work at 9:30 every morning so I watch
Regis and Kelly until 9:18.
It's the highlight of my mornings and her fashion is to
DIE for. I mean, lit-er-all-y to die for.

And this, this would be for my book club.
I am very thankful for my book club and the girls.
It's the best part of my month because we
have it the first Thursday of every month.
I love my book club.
We may not read the books but we have fun.
I'm killin two birds with one stone here...
I am thankful for KENTUCKY.
and I am thankful for male cheerleaders.
They make me smile.
Woodford Reserve. Yes please!
I love drinking.
I am thankful for F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and the fact
that my little sister owns each season.
i could watch the same episode 293874 times and still laugh each time.
I live in Kentucky and we have a lot of farms.
Therefore, there are a lot of fences round here.
Acres upon acres of fences are really pretty.
And I'm thankful for pretty fences.
I'm thankful for my BOOTS.
I love them.

I am blessed.
and I'm thankful for my bloggin' friends :)

And today I'd like to talk about bathrooms.
Apparently the lifetime average says you will
spend 6 months of your life on the toilet.
So you might as well make it beautiful!
I am in love with this entire bathroom.
The pink ceiling and the gorgeous wall paper.
The touch of oranges and the soft details.
And if you've read this blog before, you know how I am in love with chandeliers .

I'm not really obsessed with this look,
but I think it's neat and a must to include because its easy on the eyes.
...and let's face it...
i would LOVE to CANNONBALLLLL into that tub!
And this here bathroom isn't even completely a "dream" bathroom
because it looks somewhat achieveable!
I love white white white with a splash of anything.
What's your favorite part about your bathroom?
Why is bathroom such a funny word to say?

Life lessons.

I found Regina Brett's 45 life lessons and 5 to grow on in college and I've remembered them ever since. Each one is special, and so so true! Enjoy!
1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others'.
You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye.
But don't worry; God never blinks.
16. Life is too short for long pity parties.
Get busy living, or get busy dying.
17. You can get through anything if you stay put in today.
18. A writer writes. If you want to be a writer, write.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood.
But the second one is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life,
don't take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie.
Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.*
22. Overprepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words:
"In five years, will this matter?"
27. Always choose life.
28. Forgive everyone everything.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick.
Your friends will. Stay in touch.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is,
not because of anything you did or didn't do.
35. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
36. Growing old beats the alternative - dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood. Make it memorable.
38. Read the Psalms. They cover every human emotion.
39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile
and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
41. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
42. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
43. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
44. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
45. The best is yet to come.
46. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
47. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
48. If you don't ask, you don't get.
49. Yield.
50. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

just a peek.

A little peek into my weekend...
a wedding shower with three of my favorite peeps...

Cameron is my cousin who I love and adore and miss like crazy.
He lives about an hour and a half away but I just don't see him enough.
We went to college together & had some
of the best years of our lives.
So happy birthday to my favorite boy in the world.
I'm so lucky to have you in my life.
And know that you'll always be there for me
like I'm always there for you.

You help me get through family vacations
and you're always interesting to watch
because you do weird, funny things
...like putting the logs in the fire.
You're my date to Derby when I need one
and my entertainment.
Even when you light fireworks in trash cans
in your neighbors room when he's sleeping,
or put trays of silverware and a basketball
in the dryer while your neighbors are sleeping
or even when you put in fake teeth
(which is scary since you take after your father)...
I love you anyways.

College days at Keeneland

And typical Cameron to bring two of the same feet flip flops in family vacation.
Especially because he still wore them instead of buying new ones.
He hardly even complained of the pain.
Always up for a good time...he's my boy.

See you this weekend!! :) :) :)

about that time.

School is really kickin my toosh right now
so I thought it was about that time for some
words of encouragement
since I know I'm probably not the
only one that doesn't *always* have it all together.

what helps you get through stress? any other favorite quotes?

In a zoo in California, a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, died shortly after birth.
The mother tiger, after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The vets felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve.
After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only 'orphans' that could be found quickly were a litter of weanling pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger. Would they become cubs or pork chops?

Take a look...

Does that make you smile, or what?!

I went to the Alabama LSU game in Tuscaloosa.

It was my first time (!!) there and I loved it!
It was:

Pat, Shannon, me, Billy, Jessie, and Taylor.

Me and my sissy.

Billy and Pat both graduated from Alabama and are die hard. We left Louisville around 5 pm and arrived in Tuscaloosa around 11 or so.
We went to Gnemi's Top Shelf Tavern for a few drinks where we listened to music. This band we listened to did not look like they were musicians at all. The girl who looked about 14 didn't make any expression the entire time. Then all the sudden, she just totally broke out and sang and went nuts. We laughed and laughed and laughed. ...Guess ya had to be there?

GAME DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all wore our houndstooth and I gotta say, I liked it. I liked it a lot.
me, Jessie, Shannon.
Shannon & me while tailgating. Their tailgating was a lot different than the tailgating here in Kentucky, but it was still awesome.
The gals again.
Billy & yours truly.
Billy, me, Jessie, and Taylor outside of the stadium. OW!

Jessie, Taylor, me, Billy.
catching on yet?

ROLL TIDE !!!!!!!!!!!

The beautiful field.

Saturday night, we went to an awesome Italian restaurant and celebrated the big victory!
