well my friends, the weekend is here and so is the sunshine!
after many many days and weeks of some bad weather, i see the sun and everything is green which puts a smile on my face!

it's hardly a weekend because i have class and work but the thought of having a free sunday is worth it.

so here are a few quotes to jump start your days off and hopefully playing in the sun.
of course i'm still praying for those that have been affected by the terrible weather and i hope you are too.  those pictures are devastating. i can't even watch the videos anymore.

this weekend i'll be spending lots of time with my friends that make me laugh, or at least one friend in particular that makes me laugh the most.

have a great weekend!!

any awesome plans?

lovebirds and babies

well, my friends, as we've come to an end of the curt and cat series, i'd like to speak of some other couples, one i love, one i don't love, that are also tying the knot.

can you guess which one i love?

the cutler's
the royal people

unless you're a loser (my apologies if you are) you definitely chose kristin and jay cutler.  after 9 months of dating, he popped the question and although i'm a little jealous of him, as i've always loved kcav, i'm so happy for them!

as for william and kate, ugh. so over them and their stupid wedding.  the only part of that that i find any touch of interesting is the name pippa, which i think is the maid of honor.

the countdown has begun.
in 25 days, i'll be in paris for two weeks and i'm still a little bittersweet about spending my birthday there. but it's tough to complain about a birthday in france... i guess i'm spoiled like kate.

are y'all going through colton withdrawals?  me too... here's the prince himself.
oops, and the princess drinkin some wine.  infants are hard work i tell ya.

speaking of babies, do any of y'all watch 16 & pregnant?  i'm totally obsessed and can't get over that little punk of a father that was on last nights episode.  whata loser!  i bet he follows the royal wedding...

who farted?
thanks cat :)  love

elvis is in the building.
ain't nothin but a hounnnnd dogggg

he is his father.  just got done eatin and his hand is already down his pants and he's alseep.  the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

so there we have it.  i hope you all have a wonderful hump day and the weekend comes quick!

which are you: team cutler or team royalty?

smaiding the bride* : part 7024

welcome to the reception of a lifetime!
each table had a centerpiece of their own personal cake. i know what you're thinking: own personal cake + open bar + best friends wedding to celebrate = better than you could ever imagine.
however, i gotta keep it honest around here and let you know that i have ginormous ribs and my dress was tight on my ribs so i didn't eat the cake because there wasn't room.  :)  was that too honest?

the mr. and mrs.

jayme and jayme's john.

lizzie and lizzie's john
alex and alex's michael

the beautiful bride with her two sisters and mother of the bride. so pretty.

the mother and father of the bride.  not to mention two of the coolest people in the world.
my dad and the father of the bride went to college together and there are some pretty amazing stories about that.  also, the man above was the junior class president in college and my dad was the senior class president in college.  it's amazing the college is still existing together.  those maniacs...

their first dance. i loved her first. so perfect. cat and her dad have an amazing relationship so it was exceptionally special.  he was happy to give his little girl away to a guy that loves her just as much as her dad does. :)

cat is a celiac, meaning she's allergic to wheat, oats, barley, and rye so the cake and a lot of the food was gluten free.  you'd be surprised how great everything really does taste.  you can't even tell it's not "normal" ... haha

oh right. did i mention there was a photobooth?  with millions of costumes? it was the most amazing drunken activity in the world.
ali took it upon herself to always be best dressed.

but the competition was stiff. very fierce.

ladies. please meet ben. he's single and the funniest man to ever exist. if you're in the louisville area (or not) please don't hesitate to let me know that you're interested.  i'd be so happy to play match maker.

ali and her mama. ali looking normal.

ali lookin even better!  ow ow!

the bride and myself.  the photobooth and costumes are a must have.

this is my favorite picture of all time.  a mustache coming outta nell's back, ali and i fighting on the side, maggie getting attacked, and somewhere, in the far back, is the bride.

pure entertainment.  hilarious.

the evening ended with a picture of my best friend and me. now she's a wife and i couldn't be happier for her!

ever been to a wedding with a photo booth!?

*smaiding the bride: you should get it by now.   :)  if not, please refer to post 1-784.

smaiding the bride* : part 4

blushing bride in her white!!
the final look of the beautiful bride!  her dress was absolutely perfect and gorgeous.  brought a little tear to my eye to see my little girl all grown up.

speaking of little girl... eva, yet again, stealing the show.  she's such a doll.

jackson, eva's brother, was also nothin but a stud in his suit.  styyylin!

from this point on, i gave my camera to john since i had to be photo-free and these are the pictures he took... isn't he talented?

isn't this the ultimate dream location for exchanging vows??  dontmindifido...

ali and nell.  the best programs girl on this side the mississippi.

lizzie's john and alex's michael.

that's me.  just trottin down the aisle.  the dresses are jcrew and the shoes are aldo, some of my personal faves if i do say so myself.  also, each bridesmaid had the same color dress but we each got to choose our own styles and shoes and jewelry and hair style and yada yada yada.  that way, we could all keep our own sense of individuality... ;)

i love this picture of the twins, sophia and emery, and jackson in the middle and the looks on everyones face in the background.

cat's mom and dad both walked her down the aisle which i think is so cool.  what a blessed family!  they all looked so, so gorgeous!

so there's the ceremony... next up, the rehearsal where things get wild & crazy!  seriously!

* smaiding the bride: since there's only one bride, we weren't maid of the brides but we were smaids of the bride. get it? good.

smaiding the bride* : part 3

are you getting impatient because all you wanna see is the bride in her white dress?!  lucky for you, we're almost there... but not quite yet.
the bride and her smaids.

saturday morning started out with a bang (read: bloody mary) with the bridal luncheon.  it was held on the second floor of the reception venue and gorgeous.

the sea feel and openness and great flowers, it is gorgeous.

ali, cat, moi.  our dads went to college together and we've been best friends forever. kleenex please.

cat, moi, ali, lizzie, meghan, alex. everyone looks so purdy.

click on this to blow it up because it's super impressive.  cat's sister, maggie, makes these awesome prints.  they are actually made of tiny pieces of paper. im no master, but it's incredible.

congratulations to the bride!

of course i had to include pictures of these amazing (large breasted) cookies!

after the luncheon, we went back to cat's parents house and lounged around while getting our hair and make up done.  it was a perfect, relaxing afternoon because we sent our little girl off to get herself hitched.

sneak peek to the upcoming post:

* smaiding the bride: since there's only one bride, we weren't maid of the brides but we were smaids of the bride. get it? good.

we're getting so close!  greatest.weekend.ever. and there's only more to come!!

tell me a wedding fun fact! :)
