i figured there's no better place to start than the eiffel tower when discussing my time in paris, france.
some background - i was in class a lot of the time so our sightseeing was limited. it also wasn't my first time in paris but still special, nonetheless.
so there she is. call us crazy, but we actually walked (~782) steps to the first floor of the eiffel tower and then took an elevator (because you had to) to the top of the tower! it was crazy huge and beautiful.
this is looking down from the first floor. those are people.
the view. 100% unedited photo.
can i give you a travel tip though?
go to sacre coeur too while you're there because in my opinion, it has better views (and its much more fun(ner) than the eiffel tower) ...don't worry, i'll show you my time there in just a few posts. don't get your panties in a bunch, it's comin.
you could see forever and ever. and i didn't even get sick.
the seine river. paris really is quite extraordinary.
sunlight on the top of that hill way back yonder.
here i am on the first floor. after a long work out of walking the zillions of stairs. totally worth it.
pretty amazing, eh?
please, stop judging me. that was the very top and i was...
1/4 absolute freezing.
1/4 exhausted from the stair climbing
1/4 so excited to be the typical tourist having a photo shoot on the top of the eiffel tower.
we started with a group of 5 people at the bottom of the eiffel tower and only three of us ended up at the top... kevin, me, and patrick. we're the troopers.
i wish the railing guard thingys weren't there because the picture wouldn't look so prison-like but hey, they have to avoid having too many suiciders, i suppose. but there's me. in true tourist fashion.
and one final picture of the high ups.
have you ever been to paris? if so, where's your favorite place there?
if not, what part of paris do you dream of visiting?
