in preparation for the upcoming wedding, i want each of you readers to get to know my bridesmaids outside of the quick one liners i occasionally include in my posts so please, join me on the journey of
meeting my maids.
i gave each of my maids a list of questions to answer. my words, in black. my maids words, in blue.
sam is my step sister, and my maid of honor, and my bestest friend.
sam is a scorpio and her birthday is 3 days after i become john's wife. :)
When/where/how did you and Jayme meet?
One time, my dad and her mom hooked up. Just kidding. - I knew Jayme years before she became my sister. Her best friend was my best friends big sister. Jayme and I spent years together in the Wilkinson's house, will pretty much minimal interaction. Michael and I were the annoying little kids, and Jayme and Lee were the mean older kids. That is how things remained until Rick and Barb started dating. Now, we are both just annoying big kids!
What is your greatest memory of Jayme?
My favorite memory of Jayme is of our first "familymoon" vacation to Europe when I got to know her so well, and knew that she would be my sister and best friend for the rest of my life!
When did you know Jayme and John would be together forever?
One of the first several times that I met John, he did something to Jayme that I had never seen before. Jayme began to channel her inner 8-year-old self, and was playfully poking John in the side, repeating the same question over and over again with every poke. Instead of getting annoyed with her, or trying to ignoring her until she stopped (even then, John was aware that this would never actually happen), John simply took his index finger, put it in his mouth, and gave her one of the biggest wet willies that I have ever seen. Jayme was so shocked that she just stared at him for a second, and then we all broke out in laughter. At that exact moment, I knew it was meant to be.
What are you most excited about in regards to the wedding?
I am most excited about getting to be a big part of the most important day of two of my favorite people's lives!
If you could change one thing about their wedding planning thus far, what would it be?
If I had to change something about the wedding plans, I would have made Nashville last for a whole week!
What advice do you have for the almost-newlyweds??
My advice to the newlyweds is to take some time out during this crazy period of your lives to recognize all of the aspects of your relationship that make it special. Remember the things that you love to do together now, and never stop doing them. Spend entire days planted on the air mattress right in front of the TV, have romantic Valentines Day dates at Skyline Chili, and never stop having fun together. These are just a few of the many things that make you all so great together, and just part of the reason that I know you two will be happy together for the rest of your lives!
i love you sammy and i am so happy you will be next to me on our wedding day!
