my (single) brother

this is my brother, alex.
he moved to hawaii in june to begin his 5 year residency.
he's going to be an orthopedic surgeon.
as for me, i probably won't be living after my brother reads this.
but alex is in town for derby time so we celebrated.

if your heart doesn't melt, you're a robot.
{woodford and reggie. besties for life. by choice.}

{jayme and john. also besties for life. legally.}

this is the most perfect picture of the three of us.
im attempting to look normal/sophisticated but colton's face
and woodford's tongue is really discrediting the picture perfect scene.

{leisurely walk around the pool requires wine.}
colton was wearing sunglasses before this and was the spittin' image of risky business.

sam rick alex.

that face.

woof. fastest dog in the whole wide world.

family dinner. rick john moi jessie colton taylor sam alex mom.

family of four, coming july 2013.

this morning, john and i woke up very very early to go have breakfast
on millionaire's row to kick of the derby weekend festivities.

we got to watch all the derby horses warming up and feel the
warmth and lovin' of the track. i love it. #kentuckypride

the sun shines bright on my old kentucky home.

so, which are you more excited about?
my brother being in town or the derby?

ps. i'm allowed to pimp out my brother like this without it being weird because
1. he's technically my step brother
2. even if he wasn't step, we are in kentucky.

So envious of your Derby breakfast! I'm not even a tiny bit Southern, but I look forward to Derby weekend all year. It's on my bucket list to make it down there eventually!

Looks like you guys had a great time! I've never done the derby breakfast thing but I've always wanted to and your brother is CUTE!

Your nephew is a doll...and trust me, having two nieces/nephews is the BEST.

Your brother is adorable, and yes, it's totally acceptable to pimp him out. Tell him good luck with residency...my best friend is in his first year ortho residency at UAB and is loving every minute of it!
